How Harmony Crystal Bears Began

My name is Julie and I started making bears in 2002, I had always wanted to make them for many years as I've been an avid collector of different and unusual bears.

I live in Newark with my partner Ray and it was him who encouraged me to have a go and make my first bear just to see what it turned out like.

We decided that we would use nothing but the best materials available to us this included top class Mohair, Glass eyes and joints.

We loved the first two we made and kept them as specials after we'd showed our families and friends who started to buy them and recommend us to their friends.

WE then came up with the idea that we would start putting Crystals with the bears and put down what properties each crystal had.

I then approached a few Teddy Bear shop owners who agreed to display my work and sell or pass on my name to interested people which leads us to the present of setting up my own website to appeal to a wider market.
